The In-Mold Decorating Association is a nonprofit trade association dedicated to promoting the adoption and growth of in-mold technologies across global packaging and durable goods markets.

Incorporating in-mold technology in the manufacturing process requires that we all work together to be successful. The In-Mold Decorating Association is the connection point for everyone in the in-mold technology production chain – suppliers, tool builders, printers, molders and brand owners – for collaboration, technical knowledge and market growth.

A successful in-mold labeling (IML), in-mold decorating (IMD) or in-mold electronics (IME) project requires expertise at every stop along the supply chain. From tooling design to selection of resins and label material … from label printing to molding … from automation that places the label into the tool and then removes the finished project from the cavity – brand owners and OEMs want to work with experienced professionals who understand the intricacies of in-mold processes.

That’s where the IMDA steps in. Our members ARE the experts. Association membership places your company in the spotlight as an expert in IML, IMD and IME.

In addition, IMDA members have access to shared technical knowledge through the IMDA HelpLinks, an email community only for IMDA members; “Members Only” website access to webinars, surveys and more; and reduced registration to IMDA events.

IMDA members share their knowledge with visitors to the IMDA booth at tradeshows (like NPE2024 and PACK EXPO International) and receive all sales leads collected, as well as a listing in the Ask the Experts Directory that is shared with those looking for IML, IMD and IME partners. This provides access and exposure you can’t find anywhere else!

We recognize that working together will result in more and better opportunities than trying to go it alone. Having collaboration on large industry-wide issues will allow overall market growth that benefits all members.
