The 2021 IMDA Awards Competition recognized outstanding IML, IMD and IME submissions that were produced in 2020 or were slated for release in 2021.
Entries received from around the world showcase the best in in-mold design and technical achievement, and this year’s competition featured new categories to recognize the innovations related to sustainability and the COVID-19 pandemic.
Winners of the competition were announced during a Video Presentation on July 21. In addition, watch for the winners to be prominently publicized in a variety of media and during events:
Judges evaluated overall design and complexity; integration of the in-mold element into the part or package; functionality; and innovation in the use of materials and processes. Manufacturing difficulty and complexity of the part, label, design or mold also were considered.
The IMDA Awards Competition will open in early March 2022. Email firstname.lastname@example.org with questions.
